Ana Cabaleiro
Ana Cabaleiro is a Spanish photographer who i discovered on flickr. Her photographs have a sense of freedom and spontaneity. The shallow depth of focus, natural light and warm colours make her work seem like hazy memories from a summer road trip, and make me want to go travelling.

Ellen Rogers
Ellen Rogers is one of my favourite artists on Flickr; she is a fashion and portrait photographer who uses entirely analogue and darkroom techniques. I find her work so striking as it is completely different to any work from other contemporary photographers. I particularly love how her work is reminiscent of very early portraiture photography that used hand colouring on black and white prints. Her work also seems to have an other-wordly, mystical quality, created partly by the beautiful models who are often dressed draped in jewels or flowers, seeming like characters from a fairytale.

Edward Scissorhands
Tim Burton's films are a big inspiration of mine. I watched one of my favourites yesterday, Edward Scissorhands (1990). What appeals to me most about the film is its imagery; particularly the use of colour. The colours used throughout are an amazing mixture of sherbet and pastel hues. Combined with the eccentric 80s fashion and an emphasis on geometric shapes, I find the film very inspiring.
